When Families Break, Generations Suffer

Across Uganda, countless families are silently collapsing under poverty, abuse, hunger, and despair. For example, Single mothers are abandoned. Children drop out of school. Mental health goes untreated. Without help, many turn to hopelessness or worse.

Zion Shelter stands in that gap restoring dignity, feeding hungry homes, empowering parents, and discipling families through faith and practical care. With every gift or prayer, you help rebuild what was broken and spark new hope for generations.

At Zion shelter we believe broken families can rise again

We exist to restore dignity, love, and lasting change for Uganda’s most vulnerable single mothers, abandoned children, the elderly, and entire households in crisis. Since 2019, we've provided food, shelter, education, discipleship, and healing support grounded in Christ’s love. But we don’t stop at relief we walk with each family until they’re empowered, self-reliant, and shining hope into others. Every prayer, gift, and act of service helps transform despair into purpose, one life at a time.

Who We Serve

At Zion Shelter, we walk alongside those the world often overlooks.
We serve vulnerable families for example single mothers, struggling fathers, orphaned children, persons with disabilities and elderly caretakers who have been affected by poverty, loss, and instability.

Many have faced domestic violence, abandonment, hunger, homelessness, or hopelessness. Some come from streets, some from slums, others from rural areas with no access to basic needs or support.

We believe every person deserves dignity. That’s why we provide more than charity we offer connection, care, and a new chance to rebuild their lives.

Whether it's a child needing education, a mother seeking shelter, or a family starting over, we stand in the gap, turning survival into stability and struggle into transformation.
